What temperature should I set my thermostat at?
There are many opinions on what temperature to set your thermostat to. Remember, comfort always trumps energy savings. If using a hyper-heat system, we suggest you “set it and forget it.” It makes no sense to roll back your thermostat to save energy use when you are at work for the day only to return home and make your HVAC system work harder (using more energy) to get you comfortable. In fact, it uses more energy and wears on the system components quicker. You didn’t unplug your refrigerator when you went to work in the morning so why would you unplug your HVAC system to try to save energy?
