How Does a Wall-Mounted Mini Split System Work?
A Wall-Mounted Mini Split System operates on the simple principle of heat exchange. When cooling is required, the indoor unit's evaporator coils absorb heat from the room air and transfer it to the refrigerant. The heated refrigerant is then circulated to the outdoor unit, where the compressor increases its temperature and pressure. Subsequently, the hot refrigerant is passed through condenser coils, which release the absorbed heat into the exterior atmosphere, thus cooling the refrigerant.
The cooled refrigerant is then expanded and sent back to the indoor unit to repeat the cycle. During heating mode, this process is simply reversed. By individually conditioning each room or 'zone', this system allows for exceptional control over your indoor climate and can lead to significant energy savings.

What kind of filter should I use, and when should I change it?
It depends on the type of HVAC system you have. Usually 1” Pleated Media MERV 8 filters work best, however you must be sure the HVAC system has enough static pressure available to support the pressure loss for the air filter you utilize. Follow the manufacturers guidelines regarding air filter choice and change frequency.
